The Kotoko languages, group B.1 of the Biu–Mandara branch of the Afro-Asiatic family, are mainly spoken in Far North Province, Cameroon, as well as in Borno State, Nigeria, and neighboring regions of western Chad.[1]
The Kotoko languages are also called Kotoko–Yedina to distinguish them from Kotoko proper.
